There is a certain ritual associated with low-cost flying: Remote parking, priority boarding, oversized rolling suitcases squeezed into overheard lockers, waiting endlessly followed by a sudden rush to board or disembark. Careless but process driven, everything the result of a cost cutting exercise. However, more than anything it has democratised access to affordable travel, so readily on tap that the extraordinary act of taking to the skies is almost reduced to a footnote.

This series was photographed at Kastrup, watching flight U28265 disembark.
