Dirty Dishes Magazine
A magazine about washing dishes

In the late 90s, while working as a dishwasher, I would regularly bring my camera to work. A few years later, I self-published (and financed) a magazine aptly called Dirty Dishes Magazine. It contained commissioned essays, rants, 1950s clipart, poems, how-tos, photos, and even a poem by British poet Brian Luff. The magazine went on sale in a single record shop in Little Five Points, Atlanta, Georgia, in the summer of 2000. I don’t know how many copies were sold.
